Who I Am
I'm Phil, a full-stack developer based in Iowa, though I didn't start out as one. I spent over a decade as a police officer, then a few years teaching computer science and business. Both jobs taught me the same thing: figure out what's actually broken, then fix it without overcomplicating the solution. That's still how I approach code.
Now I build websites, web apps, iOS apps, and the automation that connects them. Lately that's meant a volunteer coordination platform, a devotional audio pipeline, and a room booking system. The real goal on projects like these is taking something manual and slow and making it disappear into the background.
P² Development is where I take on freelance work outside my day job. No agency, no handoffs. You work directly with whoever writes the code.
